Have ran pirelli's and bridgstones on the hawk for years, But the best by far for me have been Michelin Pilot Powers. They work extremely well with the bike.

My brother had the Pirelli Diablo Rosso's on his hawk for a while and liked the then he switched over to the dunlop Q2's and he loves them if you are going for more of a touring and cruising/ commuting tire I would say the Pirelli Rosso's if you wanna do more twisty fun go for the Dunlop Q2's or something like them.

I just bought a pair of Shinko Apex on Wednesday. So far I like them a lot but I have yet to really get into them. I'll let you know when I have ridden them more.

I have enjoyed my pilot powers.... grip well and are fairly cheap (actually the cheapest I have seen) on jakewilson.com

PP was my best tire,, tried PP CT2's really did not notice any difference, spooned on Q2's a few months ago... Grips is great wear normal for a tire like this.... The break away controllably at angle on the power.

Better? worse? If it is not a track bike... I think you can put any one of a dozen tires on this bike, and not out ride the rubber... Pick a flavor, if it handles the way you want, is available, at a good price, stick with it.. if not switch..

I have a power 2ct in the front and pilot road in the rear, could be that I was using bald tires for too long before I swapped but what a hell of a difference these made because I like the combo a LOT (ordered from jakewilson), I get well past the 45* too
