Is any drilling required or is it fairly simple? Just wondering if drilling holes are required.
Once installed....I'm assuming a topbox like the E460



or

E52 would mount easily


I'm just wondering how easy the topcase rack is to install?

Thanks for any opinions...I'm looking for lockable hard luggage for the SH....as you can tell.

I don't know where you guys are finding the product number. It must be a vendor number. My GIVI paperwork just calls it "Superhawk, '97 to '02"

I installed a givi rack that looks like the picture on my superhawk. It was easy. Hand tools only. no drilling.

You do have to remove the seat cowl.

It's real sturdy!!

Mine is also compatible with a chinese top box, like the Large size J.C. Whitney sells. The medium size won't fit because the slide on slots are narrower.

I used to have the E46. Loved the functionality of it. When I had it on I couldn't live without it. When I didn't have it on the bike looked much better. It's fun to load it with 70# of paint and supplies and wheelie off into the distance. Mine was "road tested" to 146mph.

Got any old pics of the E46 mounted? Debating between that and the E52. How much does the E46 hold? A jacket and a pair of pants easily enough?

I think there's a pic on my website. I could hold two helmets or a helmet and a jacket, plus other stuff. I did a few decent trips with it and it served me very well. Came in real handy doing the MSF course. Now I have to drop off my stuff a day in advance. The book won't fit in any tank bag I have. It's a large 3" binder.
