Gauge Cluster...

Hey, does anyone know what it takes to swap the analog 98' gauge cluster with that of an 01' or newer digital one? Is it plug and play or Is it even possible...

I looked at a whole list of options when I wrecked my 98. The bottom line is that you have to change the wiring harness for the whole bike and it's a whole bunch of work. It's worth a bunch to me to have a clock, more than one odo, digital temperature. It was so worth it that I considered buying an 04 and moving all my aftermarket equipment to the 04 - move all the stock stuff to the 98 and off the 98. Well, it was the beginning of riding season and the prices were too high to make the move. You also have to change out the sensor in the gas tank and maybe the temp sensor too.

Yikes, sounds like a handfull...Im with you, i like having the extra stuff and the sensors, but it might cost to much for me right now to justify the swap. Thanks for the Info!
