I normally rely on the trip meter, so it doesn't bother me. I filled up last Thursday and the light came on after I left the gas station. it seems to come on during acceleration. It doesn't stay on all the time and it flickers.




Any thoughts on where I should start looking at????

 

Check the connector, it is under the front of the seat in the clear plastic rubber sleeve. The sensor functions on resistance so when the plug corrodes it can cause this. Just follow the wires from under the tank to the plug. Its a 2 wire plug.

Spray it with contact cleaner (or carb or brake cleaner but those may hurt paint)
