FYI 99 to 06 Yamadog R6 Voltage R/R works awesome

I just wanted to let everyone know i went to Bobs Cycle yard here in phoenix... "Not Bobs used harley parts FYI"

I bought a Regulator from a Yamaha R6 99 to 06 with 5 Pin. I followed the instructions on the Yamaha Reg swap here in the forums wich basically has you swap the Red and green wiring...and Wallah!! Like new again!!!!

Thanks Superhawk forum for your help. It cost me $40 bucks and about 15 minutes to do........

Just like everyone says here.. if you dont have a finned Reg , change it out now before you get stranded or burn out something else like instruments or stator.

This really needs to be done before it goes out. I had the privilege R/R when mine went, along with the battery, and a good part of the wiring harness

I actually got my generic aftermarket finned regulator from Bobs Cycle (where you got the used R6 part) for $65 new. It was a direct plug in part rather than swapping the two pins.

But when thisone goes, I am getting a lifetime one from CircuitBurner
