Fuel injection?

Hey everyone. This has probably been discussed but could it be possible to put fuel injection on the VTR 1000f like the RC 51 injection? I am going to work right now. Please I need to know.... There are reasons why I want to do this because I think it would be easier than to sync carbs and such. I know I'd need to check cam timing as well as a few other things. Please any ideas? Otherwise if it's not possible I'll understand. Thank you in advance.

Anything is possible with enough time and money. It has been discussed more than once and completed by a very few. The shortest and simplest route is to use the fueling system from a Varadero. You will have to be very determined to see the project through. Not trying to throw a wet blanket on the idea as I would enjoy following a build such as this.

You aren't throwing a wet blanket man LoL would I need sensors, wire harness, and a few other things? Otherwise I can try my best for looking up parts I just need to know what parts I need to look at and get. Also will the horsepower be less or the same if you know?

The throttle bodies are smaller than the carbs on the SH. Less air, less fuel....well you know what that means. Tuned properly, it should get better fuel economy.
The Varadero was never imported into the US. That will be one of the biggest challenges.

Did a quick search on ebay and found throttle bodies for about $130 shipped and at https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-xl1000v-...st/E__1800.htm it looks like they have just about everything you might need. just looks like $$$$

Will I need the harness, ecu and or sensors? This is the first ever major swap I will have ever done. I'm good at mechanical and wiring I'm just nervous about getting the right parts to do this. I am however exited to try this. Unfortunately I'll need to buy one part at a time because I've got other bills that are first priority. I really appreciate all the advice and what I need to buy. Also would I need any special tools to reflash the ECU or would I need a power commander?

No I found out they won't ship internationally. It sucks because that's a good price and it has the make offer option...

Go to VTR1000.org and offer up a cash incentive plus the cost of the part. Doubt if there would be any volunteers.
Lots of fooling around. Boils down to how important is this project to you?

is possible to install it.I have installed it myself, and the bike runs just fine. However, finding the right connectors can be a bit of a hassle. If you contact Sumitomo Wiring Systems and Keihin, they can help you find them. Also, you can extract the ignition timing data from the CDI using an oscilloscope.

It's not important or anything just would like to try if it's possible and if I can't it no biggie.
