front brake pulse

Also, my front brakes are starting to pulse a little. I have 13k miles on the bike. New front rotors are pretty expensive (looks like $200 a piece). Can they get warped? Or maybe high-spotted like car rotors? Does anyone have any input or solutions to pulsing brakes other than buying new rotors? I'm assuming you can't turn (cut) the rotors like on cars.

Thanks.

Experienced something simliar with my `03. The guy i bought it off didn't ride the bike for a few good months. I thought maybe the discs were warped or my braided lines needing bleeding. However, did some hard braking and wore the pads out. Bought new pads and haven't experience it since. I know it seems silly but check the meat on your pads and if they have worn slightly onto your disc you will feel it. I've been told you can get the discs machined once to fix and if it happens again after that get a new one.
