Fresh Paint on the VTR: Tangelo Pearl
Haven't had a chance to pull the bike outside, we are getting 12" of snow tonight, but here it is! I plan on polishing it, it took me until the last panel before I really had the clear coat somewhat figured out. Everything else went on smoothly though. The color is House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl over their white base/primer. And I used the UC35 clear. There are plenty of flaws, but overall, I'm pretty happy with the results. All painted with a 20 gal compressor that hardly even kicked on and an ATD touch up HVLP.
If you have never seen a tangelo, it is like an orange with a nipple.
Ill get some more pictures in the sun someday. This pearl looks awesome in the sun.

I like orange. My '98 was Triumph Lucifer Orange. Very fast color...
Oh, and by the way, your mother called. She wants you to pass a vacum
cleaner around the apt. before she comes over for diner...

Thanks guys! I'm very happy with the results. I think if I were to do it again, I would buy a 4oz thing of black and paint the stripes on. The top stripe on both sides has some wrinkles in it.
Luckily, TCP Global accidently sent me a full quart of tangelo instead of half a quart. So I still have over half a quart of clear and over half a quart of tangelo left if I ever decide to repaint a fairing or part.
