Frame sliders

Can anyone suggest a particular brand/type of frame sliders that don't require too much modification/cutting to the bodywork? Thanks much.

Re: Frame sliders

I agree lsl are sweeeet loking and you can replace just the plastic if you go down instead of the whole slider.

Re: Frame sliders

What a good question!

This is absolutely true because paying 150$ US for a kit of frame slider that will not save us any penny in case of a crash or at worse will cause some other dammage because they broke or something else, this is not a good investment!

On my first crash, I had some tinny "fairing saver" but the only saving they make me was to "free" my pocket of 50 bucks! Ok, I know when I buy these that I should not wait that they save my fairings but that was nevertheless 50$ in the trash.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...982706241&rd=1

So, the tinny sliders are crap ( scientifically proven by myself due to an exces of confidence in turn ). Now we would like to know: is the "real" big frame slider worth the investment or not?

So any proof, scientific or not?

Re: Frame sliders

I wouldn't look at them as a way to save money when you go down at 60, but a way not to have your leg crushed. Not to mention that they will prevent scratches if it falls off the kick stand or anything silly like that.

Re: Frame sliders

But it can still turn the bars and pin your leg against the fairing, not to mention rear sets are expensive.
