Flush Mount Front Signals

I'm looking for a pair of flush mount front turn signals. I've noticed several members listing as having these on their bikes. Any insight, links or other information would be great - Thanks in advance.

I just bought these for my VTR.

I highly recommend getting a set that uses 3 wires so you can run the dual filament bulbs.

Lockhart Type IV work with some minor mods to the signals. Search the forum for one of my posts for details.

inderrocker,
Did you need to make any modifications or cutting into the fairinig? If not these are exactly what I am looking for as well.

Thanks!

I used my stock ones. I just cut a hole in the fairing and pushed the stock light into it until it lined up flush. Then I just taped it in real good from the back. Look just like aftermarket flushmounts.

Just kidding.

Welcome by the way

My plan was to tape a mag light to each side of the fairing.......

seriously though, please give a review of the ebay flush mounts, once you get them installed!

I ordered a pair of the eBay flush mounts. I'll take some before and after pix and any notes/issues.

I will never fail to recommend this company, great to deal with and beautiful setup, even if it is a bit spendy

I believe those are what I'm using but they are the standard ones not the Iridium model.

Do NOT get the low profile three wire setup.

Besides my own meltdown (pun intended), I know of at least one other forum member who experienced problems. Not enough room for cooling with the lamp constantly on as it's a running light which was THE reason I got them. On an all day ride, mine actually got hot enough to melt the surrounding fairing!

I don't recall the brand name but they were cheap.

I finally got the turn signals and installed them at once. They are just big enough to cover up the4 hole that the stockers leave behind. I can't find my wire kit so I'll have to hook them up another day... but for now, they are mounted.

I also got my led tail light in at the same time. I usually don't like clear lenses all that much, but it just seems to work oh so well on this bike! This is the one I bought... ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...177907834&rd=1 )

Spiffy lookin, inde. IIRC, those are the same side flushmounts Ive got....keep burning up the bulb on one though.

Oddball question, are those gutted factory slipons? They look really oe-shape, but bitchin.

Im a fan of oval cans....but never knew a bafflectomy looked so good. For the price, I wouldn't go slips either! Too pricey for too little.

The Watsen Design are $138 USD, expensive yes, but they have either a 3 LED or 10 LED design. Constant on as running lights at half power and full on for blinking.

LED = guaranteed not to burn fairing, lower draw on electrical and generally a brighter light.

$138 might be worth it.

INDERROCKER:
Thanks for the updates, photos and review. I just ordered the same flush mounts and rear tail light..... why re-invent the wheel when your hawk looks as good as it does!

I've got the same signals pictured above but with the extra running light in them. Somehow the lens popped off the right side so I just ordered some Lightworks LED's that are triangular. $26 after tax.

These signals look nice, but how do you change the bulbs?
Anybody have experience with this?
Thanks

Question

OK, the bulb's out, but what size is this bulb?
Wondering where you've found replacements, for dual filament with amber lens?
Thanks
