First Spring Ride!

First Spring Ride!
So in upstate NY it has been high 50s/low 60s all week, but morning have been 20/30 and I really don't have cold weather gear, so no riding to work yet.
Gets to be 2:30 yesterday and The weather says its 69.7 in my home town.
That's it outa here!
Batery has been in the basement all winter, but no tender. I threw it on the trickle for a few hours the day before and it apeared charged, but it is the P.O.s battery and it is a cheap no name that has always seemed a bit weak.
Pull the seat off install the battery, turn the key, push the start button...
rrrrr rrrr rrrr rrrr rrrr rrrrr Crankin really slow...
kill switch.... Now what position is that sposed to be in? Round circle? little round circle with x through it? pushed down? up? God I hate pics
try it both ways... then back - Success! she fires up, a bit reluctantly. A tankful of stale gas with only 1/2 a can of Seafoam to keep it stable isn't her prefered drink but she idled while I dug out my helmet and leather jacket.
The throttlemeisters and carbon fiber hugger I bought her for christmas look and work great. Beautiful day, great bike, perfect first ride

wasnt it great man, i rode last monday the day after getting mine home and also thursday, rode to the gym with my buddy, 2 hour workout turned into 30 minutes and we put in a couple hours of riding, lol. mines finally gone throught the old gas, it smelled rancid though. youll have to come down this way in the summer for a day ride with us. were just by niagara falls, not sure how far delmar is from the boarder but its worth the trip

I'm closer to Mikstr than you, Uchi. Delmar is a suburb of Albany. My Aunt lives in Whitby but when we see her I usually go around the northside on 401.
A friend used to live near Brockport, but he is back here now so I don't find my way toward Buffalo much
Thanks for the invite however - I am getting thirsty for a Brador...
