First speeding ticket.

Well not paying attention today on the S-Hawk and I got caught doing 85 in a 65.

Oh well. Sucks, but not the end of the world, I think I can just take a defensive driving class and be careful for the next two years with no other repercussions.

It is soooo easy to do on the Superhawk. Right after I changed my gearing I got caught out in the open with a deputy coming right at me. If you have any traffic around you they can't get a clear read. It was Sunday morning and there was nobody out on that section of road so he gave me a stern warning not to do my testing on the public roadways.

Obviously not Virginia cops... 20 over here is reckless driving & on your record for 11 yrs.

Here in Texas, 30 over is reckless, trip to jail, impound of vehicle. In some cases traffic (or at least some of it) is a good thing!

None for me yet...I've got radar/laser detection and laser jamming just in case my eyes miss something though. Can you imagine going to jail from a brief HARMLESS twist up to 90-100?

Virginia sucks again... radar detectors illegal...

I still love my state... law enforcement aside.

Got stopped by 2 cops yesterday out in BFE... no problem... it was just a road check of licenses. Another motorist flashed his brights to let me know they were up ahead.

I got caught up in TX on the hawk. Got me at 128 in a 70. Only wrote me up for 96 because he was happy I didn't run from him. He said "you did the decent thing by stopping, so I'll do the decent thing by you". I was pretty happy about that. Mostly he just wanted to B.S. about guns after I told him I was carrying in the backpack.

Little off topic, but none the less.

I recently moved across the country (vancouver to toronto) and went through the states in my 2000 Mustang. The camping is way better and the interstates rock. Anyway, I was putting through Montana and got caught doing 103 in a 75. I passed the car in the oppisite lane, and as soon as I passed i knew i was toast. i put on the breaks and pulled over even before he got across the middle grass divider. Long story short, he appreciated the courtesy, and wrote me up for a 40 dollar ticket.

Wonder what that would have cost me?
