Hi, I'm Mike and I just joined the boards the other day. My father-in-law is giving me his 98 superhawk. It's my first bike but unfortunatly it needs some work. He's had it for 4 years but he has the rear end torn off polishing parts out. So I just got a manual so we can put it back together and then all I need is a new fuel tank and a battery. Can't wait to learn to ride it.

 

If its been sitting for 4 years you may want to clean out the carbs while it is down, also get some manual CCT's, change all the fluids and get some frame sliders.

 

welcome aboard Mike, just my my 1st sportbike myself, trust me you will LOVE it! I get my out on whatever days is nice enough(anything above 50 degrees lol) cant wait til sumer starts to show up so I can put some real seat time in. enjoy ur bike bro, they r awesome.
