so i finally got my 99 to texas a month after i bought it, charged up the battery and gassed her up. she fired right up, damn this thing is loud. only problem is it has a gas leak on the tank where the tank bracket is spot welded on it. anyone had this problem before, if so how did you fix it. i'm gonna try fixing it with the permatex tank patch.

 

thats probably a good idea. i would try just about anything before having to take the tank off, specially clean it all out and ****, and then weld it. too much work when you can just slap some epoxy or something similar on it. good luck.
