Finally did my CCTs

I've had a pair of APEs sitting in the basement for almost 2 years. I'm hoping to do a Penguin day at Loudon later this month so I got off my *** and did them. This is one of those things that you build up so much in your head that the more you think of it the less you want to do it, and when you finally get it done you wonder why the hell you waited so long. Well, DO IT! It was such an easy job, especially having the pictures and write ups from here. I had them done in under an hour, since I already had the fairings off to flush the coolant. While I was in there I checked the TPS, then adjusted it, washed and re-oiled the K&N, and cleaned all the spots I can't ususally reach. Hopefully the weather will cooperate on the 24th. Big thanks to everyone who has added their experience replacing and adjusting the CCTs it really helped being able to see everything before I got into it.

Especially reading about failures a few times a month. It was always in the back of my mind while I was riding. I definitely wasn't going to the track without doing them.

Hey if your gonna go to Penguin, I'd suggest trying one of the two day schools. If you're relatively new to the track like I was, I think you'll find all the extra time and attention that you get helps a lot. There's a lot more opportunity for one on one instruction and you get to do the track walk at the beginning of the second day which is really helpful. I went WAY faster on the second day than on the first to say the least. Also the rental bikes are pretty good if you decide you don't wanna use the Hawk. Don't let their appearance fool you.
