fellow hawker passed away.
It is with great regret to report that a fellow hawker passed away today.
He hasn't been on the forum for quite some time, but he is known as 05titan,on the local Tampa bay forum,he is known as daytonablue.
his name is Theo E. Angelakos,
here is the article,it doesnt say he passed away, but this is confirmed amongst family and friends.
BROOKSVILLE — A Tampa man was hospitalized with severe injuries Sunday after his motorcycle slammed into a car just south of Brooksville.
State troopers said Theo E. Angelakos, 52, was transported to Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center and listed in critical condition after his 2002 Triumph motorcycle crashed into a car driven by Stephen L. Vickers, 58, of Brooksville.
Angelakos was traveling west on Powell Road approaching Emerson Road when Vickers' 2002 Mercedes Benz turned into the path of his motorcycle, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Angelakos was wearing a helmet, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation.
he will be greatly missed,i didnt know him very well, but got to ride with him on many occasions,he would have monthly rides he would organize, almost every holiday, new years or just because people wanted to burn gas or tires.
he was a great guy,he would organize rides for the newbie riders to get acquainted with riding, postion, turns, speed control etc etc......He would go out of his way to make sure you felt welcomed and apart of the community.
I first started talking to him when he first joined here on this site.his first known ride was put in this forum, and than he joined a local forum for the tampa bay area (tampabaysportbikes.com) from there on out,he gained speed, started doing small little get togethers and rides,it went from 5 or 10,to what was known to be around 40 to 70 riders sometimes.when he posted a ride, they all flocked to him.he was well known for his longgggg speeches lol,all about where we going, speeds, turns, bumps, correct riding etiquette, using signals and on and on and on lol,i think sometimes his rides was shorter than his speeches.
this is definitely a very sad day.he will be missed greatly, those north runs wont be the same
Rest in peace theo AKA 05Titan,daytonablue

he was one of the great ones,he loved to ride and tear up the corners.
he was a good mentor to a lot of the newbs.so many ride better because of him having patience.
locally with the bike community,he has gotten known.it is gonna be a big memorial.
it all started on this forum.wish i could have gotten one more run with him and the crew that usually does his rides.

In the last 4 years, I've lost three friends who ride bicycle and motorcycle who died in accidents due to fault of another driver the state of FL. I wonder if FL is just populated with poor drivers.

Very sorry to hear that. Prayers go out to friends and family. I wish people would realize that their car is a 2 ton weapon and pay a little more attention.

Any fallen rider is a loss to the motorcycle community, but the once that guide others will be especially missed!
Needless to say that cagers in the US definitely need more driving education

I lost my best friend today.
You were my first friend in Fl, the one who taught me how to ride the way I do, who showed me the importance of being my own person, and riding my own ride. You got me into your famous north runs back when they were only 5-6 people. you supported me and my little GS when nobody else didn't.
Your my favorite 30-something year old, your my god-honest role model, you were successful as a person, as a businessman, as a friend, and above all as a leader.
I regret not being able to come over more often all those times you invited me, I regret working so much and not being able to finish projects with you.
When I was in need, you were there, as well as anybody else who was in need. You would give anybody the shirt off your back, and than ask if they need your shoes also.
I miss you making fun of my old man loafers I wear, I remember how you didn't want to sit on the Harley because you may actually like it, I remember how we scrambled to help Emily when she had her mishap, and I remember planning ahead about future cars, sales, and finally getting around to fixing up the old roadster, and how he was going to go on a road trip with me to the keys one day. I remember just a month ago when I was going through a lot of ****, and was talking about my will, and how I didn't want people to grieve for me when I'm gone, and he agreed. Smile for his life, don't remember him for his death.
The man that died today was a selfless individual, I will miss him dearly as will so many others that he touched. Remember what he preached, be your own person, be safe, and above all, be happy.
My brother is now carving up some bad-*** road in the sky, wearing top of the line taichi gear, on the most badass triumph ever built. I'll meet you one day, Theo.
love you man.
I will be helping coordinate memorial information along with Sonik and triumphchris, and will do so in this thread. It will probably be up first on www.tampasportbikes.com, but any information will be up here shortly after.

My condolences to his family and friends. No one should lose life that way.
I would always hear the stories from my customers on how fellow riders died.
Unfortunately, 7 times out of 10, it was a left hand turn, cutting off a motorcycle.
And the rest of the time....F"%$ texting !

Stories like this are so sad. I feel for everyone involved. Theo sounds like a really cool guy. He touched many people in the time that he was with us. I can only imagine some of the hurt his family and friends are feeling now! R.I.P God speed.

here is some pics and vids of the memorial ride.it was a over whelming show, around 140 bikes, some trucks and cars to follow for break downs and such, had road blockers and sweepers, the whole 9 yards.it was a perfect riding day, perfect group, not one incident.
for 140 or so bikes,it was perfect.
