So my VTR turns 20 yrs old at the end of May. Looking to ride to Barber Museum in Alabama.

West Va - Where this pic is from - but ride thru all of West Va (I've not done the central & southern part) into Kentucky, Tenn, Alabama.


Then swing back north thru Northern Ga, Western NC - ride the Dragon again, Blue Ridge, Skyline

 

Found some high mount link pipes and hung my Erion’s. Here’s a pic with and without passenger pegs. Just staying busy while mounting new fairings and etc.

 

Somewhat sad day today. After 15 years, I parted ways with an old friend.

I know U still have the Blue VTR - I guess ya can't ride 2 at once.

1st - Off I have way too much $ into it to ever recoup.

If I'm not buried with it - It will go to my son. - For Real!

 

Never sell a SuperHawk or a gun.

 

I just bought another fastest red 98... Now I have 2 plus 2 more engines, a main frame and swing arm, I think a subframe and a small storage room full of spares including rads, carbs, electrics, etc.

I have to now decide what I'm keeping but certainly my original I bought in 99 which now has 111,000+ miles and still runs like a top.

 

I just don't have room to house 3 motos. I had all intentions of eventually giving it to my son. When it came time, he said it wasn't his type of bike. Never envisioned myself selling it but after the light track off, it just wasn't cherry anymore and that kinda bugged me. The blue one is minty fresh so the love affair continues to live on. I've made the first payment on a CBR1k fork set-up for it. I've wanted to do that for a while.


Soon as it warms up a little, blue will get the freshly rebuilt Ohlins and the DMr is already spoken for.

 

Could of given it to me. I already have the fender.

 

So my 20th anniversary trip was tossed due to work

And now starting a new job - so going to try and get away somewhere this week.

Just ordered a new tank bag - my old one zipper **** the bed. So when I get that in 2 daze - I think I'll pack it up & hit the road to....maybe I'll swing up to my nephews place in Vt.

Anyway - the 02 flipped 70k
