**** Covid - Let's See Those VTRs

Its been a while since I've been on here.

But lets see everyone's VTR and what have you done to it lately and or what trips have you been on recently with the best moto!

For moi: Sadly not much riding in 2021 - New job is back in NYC since 7/21 - thus not home during week, but I did ride to Lake Erie in June/July & then to Columbus, Oh to see my nephew. I wanted to take a swim in Lake Erie - not sure why, but mission accomplished. Rode mostly secondary roads. Pa has very rural areas, particularity north of I-80. Realized that there's no reason to be in Erie, Pa - but glad I did it. After a rain storm in WVa. knew that new tires were needed. (Got some Pirelli Angel GTs mounted in Columbus.) Slabbed from Wheeling to Columbus, but caught the backroads that I wanted to ride on way home after 4th of July. Rt. 555 in Ohio is a great road.
I rode 13 hrs from Columbus home - 617 miles - my *** was killin me. Don't think I want to do that many miles in a single day again.

Some pics

New Yeller

Now I can post since I don't have to follow and am far enough removed from dori.

Here's the most recent acquisition from Jerry out in Colorado a year ago, my "B" bike. The other girl is in the basement in pieces. It was 70-something here in my part of Illinois today and I DID NOT go for a ride being two weeks post-op for a total knee replacement. Obviously picked a stupid time to have that done.

Pictures are a bit dated as she's currently sporting a double bubble and high-rise Staintunes, but most importantly, she's still yellow.

The exhaust is a full Akrapovic system. Reflection might be the cause.

Hind sight is a wonderful thing. One of many parts that have become unobtainium as the decades roll by.

love the fairing, did you buy it like that or convert a race item with the two holes?

ordered it through MotoForza fairings that way. It’s a work in progress as the stock fairing stay does not work with it…

I lucked out and purchased the whole setup from my buddy who got it from hawkster on here.
Everything was fabricated to fit right up and all I had to do was figure it out.

As I sit behind this lapper - cold in this Winter of the new year - 2022 - I'm wondering about riding. My mind usually isn't too far from these thoughts.

My VTR - will 20 yrs old in May (bought it on my BDay at the late moto dealer in Dumont NJ - Amols - great place that was...)

So I need to think of a road trip - Memorial weekend - Thinking about 5 days - maybe get back to WVa. But explore more in the Central south part - maybe get into Kentucky a bit.

Bought new in 99

Orthopedic issues have limited my saddle time the last few years, got a leftover 15 FJ09 in 16 as a result and have 55k miles on it but will never sell my fastest red VTR. Have a 76 RD400 to I want to get back on the road.
