drain tank

i have a gallon of gas in the tank and i want to drain it so i can have it painted. Does anybody know how to drain it without hooking it up to the motor? help would be greatly appreciated

Apply a vacuum to the connector on the fuel tap to activate fuel flow and catch what comes out of the tap.

Or open the cap and turn it upside down.

the best way for me was to siphon the tank with a rubber hose, forgot about this technique.
