Drag results!!
Hey guys,
took the SH to the strip last night for the first time. Wow, that was fun.
I only got three runs but each was better than the last.
#1 11.6 @ 111 (I backed off not knowing where the finish was I guess)
#2 11.4 @ 121 (now that's more like it)
#3 11.3 @ 117 (false neutral slowed me up here)
The first run was against another superhawk! The guy had already done three or four runs and hadn't been able to break 11.6. Against me he went 11.8, so I actually won my first time out!

Yeah, "sportriders" lists it as 11.17sec a quarter mile but "Motorcyclist" article said they did a couple runs where they dipped into 10.8 sec. I guess, they were having difficulty with the hydraulic clutch as it was grabbibg and releasing all the time.

Now, that I think about it, it wasn't "motorcyclist". but it was an article on the website where they compared the SH to the TL1000s and the Ducati 916. And one of the testers got a couple good 1/4 miles on a stock bike and got a 10.87.

Not that I didn't believe it, but a 10.8 was way faster than the other times i've seen. I might have done a bit better with more runs, my reaction time was terrible. Like .4s consistently! I was launching really easy to save the clutch and not get all squirrely. I had a friend videotaping and didn't want to look like a tool, you know!
