Doh! Father-inlaw dumped my baby!
Just got a call from the Fiance at home, My soon to be father inlaw just dumped my imaculate baby at a stop sign on some loose gravel. Low speed tumble, scraped the entire right fairings up (so she described). Hopefully no plastic is Broken. Happy that he is ok, but My Hawk didn't have a single mark on it until now.. Guess I will try to sand it down and prime it, take it to a paint shop for colour match. Still won't ever look the same now

Ouch...that's a tough one. Anyone else and you could at least bitch them out a little.
Sounds like it's only cosmetic so it'll probably be ok (once you get over the initial shock of seeing it).

that's just one of the countless reasons why I don't let anybody...AAANNNYYYYBBOOODDDYYY! ride my bike. during my life I've had 3 people dump my bike when I let them ride. my dad, my best friend, and my uncle(who's ridden his entire life). you can never be sure. it doesn't matter how good they are. obviously I understand the pressures involved with a future father in law, but avoid whenever possible. just not worth it.
