Does anyone have experience with the Woodcraft Risers?

Anyone have them? I'm debating between thees and a superbike bar.

Also, how high can I go before I need to extend (rather than re-route) cabling? Searching around it seems like 2"-3" depending on the option.

I have 2 inch Genmar risers on mine and the only thing was the brake lines that I ended up having to extend.

That being said I have not tried the Woodcraft risers, so I cant realy give any input on that, but do remember they are still a clip-on and will have a diffent feel than superbike bars.

I'm thinking the superbike bars myself but I'm also leary of having to cut up the plastics for the bike. I really wish that Honda made the vfr more along the lines of the suzuki Bandit. I liked the bandit over all better style wise (i.e. handlebars, seating position, ect) but I was all about getting a V-twin this time around when I bought a bike, I like the power curve better.

My bike has the Corbin seat and Heli-bars but I'd be interested on your insight to the risers

I have a 90's CB750SC top yoke with the bar clamps and a superbike bar, but before I drill my yoke I'm thinking maybe I should get clip on type risers like the woodcraft or apex. I want to avoid having to extend everything, however I don't mind trimming the fairing a little.

The superbike bar feels flatter than I thought, I tend to like the downward angle clip-ons provide.

How much of a rise do you get out of the heli-bars?

I don't have any stock bars to compare too, its how I bought the bike. However it would appear they come about an inch back and an inch up from what I assume stock would be

Not alot of plastic to remove if done right, & not too much of a rise needed.

did the superbike bar mod, few years back, & glad of it.
completed, grips 3 in. up & 2in. back. Just had to shave off a little plastic to clear the resevoir.

First off, that looks awesome.

What risers did you use?

I see you have aftermarket brake lines, did you have to extend the clutch line/ throttle cables/ electrical wires?

I asked the same thing in PM so I will just post his response so he doesn't have to do it 100 times

Woodcraft makes good stuff. I have an F4i front end, so I didn't have room above the tripple for bars, so I have a 2" rise on my Woodcrafts and are mounted just below the upper tripple. It seems to be just a tad lower than stock?

wizardofboz,

Yea, the lines brake & clutch are Speigler, & 3 in. longer than OEM, which was needed. Already had the lines before making the bar mod. Bars made a world of diference. (at my age anyway) I'll include some more pics that may show grip location better. All wiring was ok.

That sir is a beautiful bike. I'm very jealous. Love the exhaust and rearsets as well. I wouldn't think the blue tones would go as well with the red as they do
