De California, vacuum hose routing

I was doing a little work on my hawk when I discovered it use to be a California bike. I removed all the cali parts, plus the "pair" system, but I want to be sure on the vacuum hose routing before I button it all back up. I'll just state what I think is right. If I'm wrong anywhere let me know.

These port are used when balancing the carbs. The front one "D" is suppose to be capped. The rear "E" goes to the petcock

"C" is suppose to be capped, and isn't used. The ends of "F" had a T fitting between them, with the fitting removed the ends are now connected with a straight piece of hose.

"B" and "B" are no longer used and should be capped.
"A and "A" are for float bowl venting, and are left open to atmosphere between the carbs.

Can anyone comment on connecting F with a straight line rather than simply capping the T?

Looks good to me. I deleted the "T" fitting for the "F" connection as well, sure beats capping it off with a bolt that might leak... cleaner setup too.

Only thing to add is that it's a good idea to reroute the breather hoses A so they aren't sitting inbetween the carbs...

They tend to get an "uphill" at the end which then acculumates fluids and blocks the breather resulting in annoying stalls... Instead put them straight down and trim them to a lenght where they don't snag something or hit something too warm...

Man, I have spent hours trying to figure this out!!!

Thank you for your post. I just bought my Superhawk and someone pulled the carbs and didn't label them and now I have to put it back, but don't have a clue where anything goes. Just this little bit of information is so helpful. Do you know what the black thing is and what connects to it? Thanks.

Looks to be a California model. Does it have this? https://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/.../evap-canister They had some extra emission plumbing. Don't know if this will help. I have not worked on the CA model. Maybe someone who has will chime in.
