What specific parts were you thinking of getting cryo treated?

Most of the cryo parts i've seen are transmission gears. It has its ups, but i've also heard it can make gears more brittle. It's also a bit pricey.

Pretty sure (back when I watched 15 years ago) race teams had their rear gears cryo treated to make them last longer.

We use it in the printing industry mainly on large cutter knives. They hold their edge longer and generally last longer. No idea on costs, the company that does the sharpening also offers this process and I don't pay the bills.

I think it'd be overkill to do just about anything on your bike. What parts are you wearing out on a regular basis that would benefit from the treatment? Extended service time is what cryo is all about, at least that is my specific experience.

More HP, higher RPM's? Sounds like fluff to me.

I was looking for away to normalize any friction created in the gearbox or in any part inside the engine having in mind that i m going to keep my hawk and not selling it, so any way i ll come across to extend my engine's life would be great but if such process makes it brittle then nope i m not going to do anything like that...

As far for the cost yep is a serious factor since i have spend so much in customizing my hawk.

 

The brittle thing is just a faint memory i have. May want to check into that some more.
