coating temp drop

I have been searching around the forum for some time now and have come to the conclusion that I am going to get my pipes coated; whether Jet-Hot or similar. Last summer I cooked a brand new lower fairing (pyramid plastics) because it did not come with a thermo shield installed and I didn't think anything of it and used it anyway.

So my questions follow:
1. does anyone know how just how much the temperature drops after coating; different website boast different percentages but what have people really seen?

2. after coating will I need to install extra thrmo barrier to keep from cooking the replacement lower fairing or will the coating alone be enough of a temp drop to prevent destroying the new lower?

Thanks for any input.

I bought my fairing lower secondhand and noticed some scorch marks on the GRP so I just cut some heatproof reflective mat to size and shape , then used High-temperature silicone adhesive. That's sufficient to protect the fairing without having to resort to exhaust coating.
