be careful out there.
its spring time and the cagers are still way to busy with the damn iphone and other stuff. Today I was sitting at a stop sign and got rear ended. Not even hard enough to knock me down but the ****** took off. So I chased this ******* down and well it was handled. Be safe out there.

"cracking down", yeah...that $159 fine for something more dangerous than drunk driving is a real crack down alright...sigh
car pool tickets and speeding here cost more than that, hell it costs more than that if you get a ticket for forgetting to turn your headlights on in a daytime headlight zone!
IMO texting while driving should be $1000 minimum with suspension on repeat offense

$159 is base charge, not including court fees and every other bullshit they charge us with. When its said and done, a ticket for texting can be almost $300. And I don't see how texting is mote dangerous than drunk driving...
Glad you're ok and got the ******. Why people run after hitting a bike beats me, don't they understand we are way faster and more manueverable than their cars?

Honestly you can't see how staring at a phone and typing is more dangerous than drinking and driving? At least drunks are looking at the road...
DUI fatalities are up since 03 in CA; my theory on why even though there is more enforcement is that now the drunks are ALSO texting.

But the duration spent looking at the phone is usually a few seconds. Don't get me wrong, a lot can happen in a few seconds, but I would rather be on the road with someone who is texting than someone who is drunk (by drunk I mean wasted, hell even I used to think I drove better buzzed than sober). An intoxicated person has blurry vision, slow reflexes, bad judgment, compromised motor skills, etc. Someone texting takes their eyes off the road for a few seconds.
Not trying to start an argument, I agree that texting is dangerous, just not as dangerous as a drunk driver in my opinion.
