Atleast on the CBR1000RR there must have been something wrong then... I have whole front incl a full brake from the CBR1000RR... And these brakes are all but all or nothing...

I can attest the gsxr 1000 6-pot swap is worth it. I went all out with this though. I initially had the steel braided lines with stock VTR setup, when i switched over i kept the steel lines but added the gsxr MC. I rode it a while with the old gsxr pads and there was an improvement in braking but not huge, I would say that the biggest difference in braking response and power came with the new EBC HH pads. I don't regret the upgrade, but bang for buck, i'd say pads will do just fine. If you want the biggest improvement from this mod I'd suggest finding a better MC, doing steel lines, and getting new pads.

Having had the SH out on the track for the first time, and comparing it to my Triumph TT600, I have to say the brakes are not nearly as good. If I'm reading all this stuff correctly, it seems that SS brake lines and better pads might be a good start to improving things.

I'm curious to hear about the surprise though.

Hey...if you decide not to use the GSXR 6 pots, I might be interested in taking them off your hands.
