Brake caliper/Brake rotor Discussion.

First off, I'm looking for a set of Front rotors. Does anyone have any reccomendations of brand/price/place to buy them?

Dennis Kirk various different brands of front rotors, anywhere from $189 to $285 (each, so x2).

Second, I know at least ONE person has converted to GSX1000R Calipers and rotors. Has anyone else done a caliper/rotor conversion and care to comment?

Anyone ever install those "WAVE" rotors? Care to comment on performance?

Re: Brake caliper/Brake rotor Discussion.

To be honest, my VTR does it all.
Week long camping trips/rides 2-3 times a year
Commute daily (weekdays)
Back road burning in the Mountains on weekends
and 10-12 track days a year.

I'm looking for SERIOUS braking power. I know that one guy used the 6 pot calipers from the 2001 GSXR1000 and the rotors from the GSXR1000, claimed they bolted rightup.

Big Valley Honda/Moreitaki have photos of a brake upgrade on their website, but I've never heard of anyone with it, and they don't list prices...

I'm already using HH pads, and the 954 Master Cylinder/lever assembly. I'm just wondering what other options out there folks have tried/liked or what folks have upgraded to besides the stock setup.

I've read that you need 2001-2002 calipers which are gold. Those look red in the picture- might be a wrong year.

I bought 2002 6 pot GSXR calipers, HH pads, and EBC contour rotors. Problem is I'm on deployment so I can't bolt them on until I get home in Dec.
