Bought a dead Hawk
Just traded my daughters TTR125LE even (yes even) for a showroom clean '98 red SH complete with Micron exhaust, heli bars, new Metzelers, etc. Bike had a front CCT failure at 20k and took out valves. Haven't removed the head yet to see if the piston survived. Hope so! Previous owner couldn't stomach the repair bill and couldn't do it himself. I hope to have it back on the road in a week or so.
This is my first v-twin sportbike. Had several CBR/ZX/YZF/GSXR bikes, one cruiser (hated it) and one supermoto (great fun except for interstate and distance). Can't wait!

Thank God! Piston is good to go. There is a barely visible valve imprint that all but disappeared when I cleaned the carbon off. All 4 valves were bent though! Can't imagine this happening at speed. Could be fatal! Manual CCT's will be installed for sure!
