this bike is gonna eat my soul at this rate....

Went to go for a ride today and warm it up and I look at the brake light and it looks like the brakes are on.. So I test the front brake and nothing... test the rear and it pops on.... ****, that switch in the front is screwed up again... This is the second one to go. 1st one came with the gixxer brakes and the second i took off of my oem. Plus it works occasionally. I'm beginning to wonder if the brake lever not fitting quite perfectly is causing the switch to slowly break or something... wonder if getting an oem gixxer lever would work? Thoughts???

THEN I'm like screw it, I use my rear all the time anyways so the light will still come on, hop on and wtf... this seems low, kick stand doesn't really wanna come up... Uh oh I've had this before... ******* A!!! Another flat rear tire... Nail right in the middle. I just replaced this damn tire in June and not gotten a lot of miles out of it.... I'm thinking of MAYBE plugging it but it worries me to do that. I do have diablo corsa III's in the garage but was waiting till late winter/early spring to throw them on since the pilot powers were still alright... damnit damnit damnit... I'm thinking of selling again cause this bike is eating away at my patience and will eventually take my soul... I love the damn thing but I've never had such bad luck

Bro, no offense but I don't think it's the bike in particular. You have a Suzuki part on a Honda. You expect them to work together in harmony? And it's not the bike's fault you ran over a nail.

Light some candles, put on some Yanni, and say a prayer.

well it's just like of those things where you have it and nothing seems to go right so you get rid of it and move on. i'm gonna try and do a plug, see if it holds and go from there for a few. I'm not quite ready to put the diablo's on yet

I had the same thing happen with my last set of tires....I had pick up a nail and didn't want to replace it since it only had 2K on it. I plug it and used it all summer and got 3K more on it...so I got 5K and then I put on the Metzeler M-1's. I don't like to plug tires but I will do the rear not the front. Anyhow hope things get better for you.

well I think the lever is causing the switch issues... I think... I don't like the honda ones anyways. I'm gonna buy a used gixxer1000 one. Gonna see if I can find a clutch lever too.

Hey now, I've got a LOT more ZUKI parts on mine and they all live in perfect harmony we all CAN get along.

Sorry about your bad luck No9 but if you are going to plug it at least use those patch/plugs from the inside and don't go tearing it up.

Plugs are not my first choice; however i have plugged a rear tire dead in the center with a high quality motorcycle plug kit and road an additional 2000 miles on the plugged tire with no problems.

The risk is yours!

I've been riding mine pretty much trouble free for 6+ years now, the only problems I've had were the R/R and the amount of tires I go through at the track.

I'd go rc51.... I'm talking to someone about a deal on one. I'm betting it'll fall through and I might fall in love with this thing once things stop going wrong. lol

That's better than me - two crashes and one accident in 1.5 years.
