been a while since i have been here but...

we are finally fixing up the superhawk and i am selling my drz400sm and getting an rc51

my dad got a complete 04 cbr1000 undertail exhaust and is going to fab it up to fit the superhawk, fix some rash on the left side and fix the fork seals and such.

supermoto is fun but not by yourself and not good for longer rides. so i figured i'd rather cramp myself up on an rc51 and enjoy vtwin power again!... but a supermoto will return to my stable one day... everyone should try one out!

I would love to see how you do the cbr1000 exhaust, was thinking of doing the same . Will be waiting to see this.

I'd like to see a write up on the exhaust also if you can find the time to do it.....

well my dad will be doing the exhaust and i hardly get to work with him so a write up will be difficult... plus he already modded the header from a previous exhaust setup and is going to change it a smidge to fit this in there. only problem is its a stock cbr1000 muffler so it will be quiet and backed up again

If you do get it done i would like to see some pics of the end result, how you changed the pipes & how it all got mounted. Keep us informed of any progress.

Sharp lookin' bike!
I don't understand why you need frame sliders.
Are you planning on dropping the bike??

In case of the bike fell & she couldn't get up ;-)
frame slider is good in protecting some of the panels & parts.
Although not too sure on the localized impact transfer to the frame (due to slider's nuts & bolts)

just a little piece of mind that they will help in certain aspects of a fall or crash anddddd the fairing is already cut for them so i might as well put some in there.

bad news(but not majorly bad) today on the RC though, the left side radiator T connectiong for the radiator hoses was split in half and it broke into pieces causing loss of coolant and overheating. noticed something wasnt right and now its in the shop waiting for the part... 1 day of use and now have to wait a week or so to use it again

guess ill ride the motard and do an oil change on it to while it waits to be sold.
