Bad SuperChicken

OK, I have heard that there is a common problem with the 996 that has been shown to suck some serious power out of the bike. I'm not sure what it is, possibly electrical, I dunno. I thought that I saw a post on here about it, but never thought about it until I rode my buddy's 996 and it had a significant amount of power difference. I'm wondering if you guys can help me out.

The electrical issue has to do with the R/R (or V/R as it were) failing, but it has no effect on power.
