axel nuts
Looks like all my excitement over the 80ft-lbs of torque on my new bike has been going to my head, or wrist, because the chain has loosened up a bit since i brought it home. must be all the power wheelies.
anyway so i go to tighten the chain, and man, those axel nuts are tight. I ended up spinning the axel slightly as the nut would just not loosen. So I put another cresent on the other nut and tried to turn counterclockwise on both but it was kind hard to do without pulling weight off the kickstand. Guess I'll have somone give me a hand keeping the bike steady.
anyone think I did any damage by spinning the axel???

.....Bueller?......Bueller....Hummm......The only thing i can see you did wrong and/or damaged was the misssssspelling of axle..The shaft is nothing more than a Tempered Bolt with a REALLY big shank ... the power wheelies your doing are worse than spinning the "shaft". But ya just GOTTA get that front end up mine dont even run right till i hit 11:30 a couple times ..

I just had my gf hold it before we went out yesterday. I put my foot on the right side wrench and reaped on the left side and it came off. Took some convincing. I was missing 1st to 2nd shifts 5% of the time (when i was being sloppy mostly) and now with 1.5" of slack it shifts nice again.
