Arrow full race system

I recently bought an Arrow high-mount full race system (with carbon cans) and just took delivery of it today. The system is brand new, never mounted. While I don't really need it (I am running an Akra full system with Ti cans at the moment), the deal was too good to pass up. Now I have to decide what my next step will be (ie. sell it, run it back to back with the Akra and sell the weaker performer, keep both, ....).

Decisions, decisions.....

if you sold these, what would be a round about price.
2. if you didnt sell them, would you be willing to take pics and measurements of all the separate pipes so maybe i could get idea on fabbing my own set.

Take a guess on the cost, or figure out what you would ask for your Akrapovic system. Weigh your options. If the price is right, who knows. Perhaps I'd take a crack at them my Canadian brother, lol.

Whatever I choose to do, you folks will be the first to know.

As for the Arrow system, I have searched and found little info about how it actually performs (althoug it was the system used by Rumi for the WSB effort with the VTR in the pre-RC51 days). Arrow claim 6.5 hp increase with a boost across the board (I think Akra claim 5.5 for their system). Anyhow, it's a very nice system and even has a tapered header (something even the Akra doesn't have, although the Akra has a equalizing tube).

I have heard all about the durability problems of carbon cans (although what I have read about the Arrow carbon cans is nonetheless very favourable in terms of durability, even on twins). Of course, I could try to fit my Akra cans on the Arrows header if it proves superior.....

Here is someting I found on the Micapeak site:
"the first VTR dyno at 103hp and 68 ft lbs. With Micron slipons and Factory jet kit, the new superhawk has 108 hp and 72 ft lbs. only difference is exhaust and K&N filter.
got the Arrow exhaust and the HRC jet kit. supurb. 110hp and 78ft lbs torque. plus ten hp from 5000 rpm to 9000 rpm. 60ft lbs torque at 2500 rpm and 75+ 6000-9000 rpm (jetting issues though)...
Factory went to the trouble of getting an Arrow full racing exhaust and made a jet kit for full systems on the VTR and works great. now dyno @ 110hp and 76ft lbs. no flat spots and about 36mpg"

If this chap can get 110 hp and 76 lb-ft on an otherwise stock engine with this exhaust, it should belch out power (mucho torque!!!!) with my modded engine.....

BTW, it runs very well with the Akra but who knows how much better (if at all) the Arrow could do.....

Mikstr, Reading thru this- WHAT A CHOICE to have to make ! !
The header on the Arrow system resembles the header, I got with a MIGS full exhaust.. Please post your findings..

I read info at RougeRC51 forum -in the "mods" section - on exhaust information.. where there was testing on different manfactured exhaust systems for the RC51 ... Would like to know if it comes to be true to the S-hawk. also ...

Here is a sample of the sound from the Arrow system:

SuperHawk - YouTube

don't know about you guys, but it sound sweeeeeeeeeeet to me (my only concern being recently announced measures for sound testing for bikes starting next summer; the Akras are relatively quiet)....

Hide site is 20/20 and Info that I am going to suggest, concerns me.. Due to ANY mention of a RC-51 comparsion information -CROPS up the sqids to go crazy with questions...
If you go to RougeRC51 forum- go to the mods- D.Kyle racing did all the testing/comparson of exhaust on the RC-51- maping with a PC3.. You can read all the dyno charts on different exhausts..
I have the Akrapovic Full exhaust, and I realize that the exhaust system between the two bikes will different. Yet I would want to have to make that choice
I have already been to the Rogue site (for that very reason). What I have found about Arrow systems is that they tend to be very good performers. For example, in one write-up I found about a comparison of exhausts for the SV650, the Arrow simply and easily outgunned all comers, to the tune of about 6 hp in the mid-range...... Imagine if it did the same on the VTR... makes me weak in the knees just thinking about it, lol.....

Second that.. If I had not got such a deal on the Full Akrapovic system...And had read the information on the Rouge forum .. I would have gone with the Arrow full system...
Probably been cheaper to buy the Arrow system -got the extra HP on the S-hawk..... Instead of buying another RC-51...

sled season is so short. I can't justify paying a years worth of insurance for a couple good weekends each winter. My father has an Artic Cat F8. That bloody thing is fast...

For me its one hobby or the other. I can ride a bike for 7 months + a season.

yes, sounds exactly as mine. But the sound is really deep in low rpm, and this low frequency goes everywhere a becomes annoying (for me). I am going to insert some silencers.

And I donť think there will be any problem with carbon, unless you have wool there.
