Thumbs up Another AWESOME ride yesterday!!

Ok here it is for those of you that would like to map it out. Probably my best ride so far.

From Denver we took Highway 6 to golden. 93 north almost halfway to boulder and took a left onto highway 72. took 72 all the way to Nederland. Continued north on highway 72 until we ended at Highway 7 (Peak to Peak highway). We go right on highway 7 to Lyons. From there we get on highway 36 to Estes Park. In Estes, we hop back on highway 7, which loops back down to 72. we then take 72 back down south, past Nederland, get on highway 119 (Peak to Peak highway) continuing south, then hang a left on highway 45 (Golden Gate canyon) take that back to 93 south, to highway 6 again, back to Denver.

Crazy twisties, little traffic, Almost zero gravel, clean roads due to frequent and heavy rains, and Amazing views on Peak to Peak highway!!!

about 240 something miles.

Thats an awesome ride. If you get up to the Fort Collins area, there's some great rides west of town. Sometime later in the summer I'll be doing the Trail Ridge ride over top. A sick part of me wants to do Pikes Peak sometime as well. So much good riding in this state.

Just a heads up for you guys......

Larimer county sheriffs Department and the Fort Collins Police Department will be stepping up efforts to "curb" motorcycle related "issues". Yesterday in our area three riders were killed... Full dresser HD rider with no helmet played tag with a mini van over off of Harmony Rd and lost, a sportbike rider killed himself and the girl that was riding with him on the way up to Horsetooth Resv. when he couldn't make a corner, and finally a bike went down up highway 14...that person is still alive but last I heard he didn't have movement below the waist.

Be careful, stay safe and ride within your limits.

Lucky you, man I just rode the wettest ride today I could not believe I hit a big big storm today. Decided to ride my Hawk back to visit some family. Before I went I checked the forecast to see if its possible showed cloudy.. So i figure i will take the risk so i head out, then half way i hit it i got complete wet within 1 minute. I rode atleast 60-80 miles on it didn't stop, my Hawk did well. My gear hold up good helmet kept my head dry

Just consider it some more good experience under your belt. I don't even look at the forecast here in CO anymore, the mountains make their own weather. I just plan/expect to get soaked. If I don't, great!
