Restrictive Air Filter?

Has Anyone modified their stock air filter it seams small considering how big the plate it mounts in.
I was thinking of triming out the plate to acomidate a larger filter.

Here's what I did. I see no reason why you couldn't go larger.

Re: Restrictive Air Filter?

Did ya ever notice Honda chose to place the filter flow direction just opposite of all known automobiles ?

I'm sure they knew what they were doing and it does not hurt but it did strike me as ...odd LOL

I am about to finish up my engine build and have been thinking about removing the flame arrestor screen but man , that 4.5 gallons of fuel would make for a big burst .

When I was dragboating I saw KN made some Coast Guard approved filters . I wonder iffin they sell one in a panel filter these days ?
