Ron Paul was my first choice.
Funny how the media and others who ridiculed him during his campaign have been tripping all over themselves to interview him in the wake of the financial meltdown of this country because he's been telling people about it for decades.

BUT, if you write in a vote for someone who isn't registered for your state's election, I don't think the vote will be counted. So if you want to vote 3rd party, at least pick one that's running. Ron Paul is out.
For example, Ron Paul is backing the Constitution Party, but they are not a registered write-in candidate in CA. Libertarian Party is however. There's really no way to know without checking your state's website. So the official votes cast for 3rd parties are probably grossly underrepresented.

Right. So that leaves Chuck Baldwin (Constitution Party) in some states and Bob Barr (Libertarian Party) in others, in addition to Ralph Nader (Independent) and Cynthia McKinney (Green Party). I prefer Baldwin, but I don't think he's on the ballot in my state. Any of them are better than the two Establishment puppets.

I think that it is worthy of more than just a protest vote...

The lesser of two evils is, of course, still evil. Both mainstream candidates are scumbags who are hired actors for the bankers who really (as we have seen in the past couple of weeks) run things.

I don't care where you stand on the political horizon, Sarah Palin is a name that will not go away. Regardless of what happens this year I think this politician is going to lead us in the future. Her racer husband and his role as devoted Dad strengthens her image and gives credence to her beliefs.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
She's got tons more character than Obama and Biden combined.
One day somebody will come along and honestly address the mess our economic/political system has become. I think nearly all the campaign money comes from business interests, so when it comes down to it, they tell us who to vote for. I wish it could go back to one-man-one-vote.
i don't understand how so many people can be so gullible. there is no democracy here but for those who are represented by a lobby. lobbying groups own/control politicians, not voters.
answers for the average american: vote for no one, vote for Nader, revolt, leave, or believe crap you're being fed by those who are the beneficiaries of the present oligarchy!

Let's organize a write-in for Ron Paul. Everyone I know, liberals and conservatives, believe that he would be a good choice for president. Maybe that's because I live in NH though. Live free or die!!
$1,500 each, he did pay for them, nothing free - not sure how many he bought....I know what you're thinking, you can buy Ohlins for that kind of money; most of our suits cost around $600 TO $800 but the fabric you choose makes a BIG diffrence in the price. JIM

In my humble opinon, your wrong. What it would be is a vote for an advocate of the people vs the dominant special interest groups and corporations. It would also mean an end to the war, out servitude to Israel, and someone in the whitehouse fighting for the average American who has been left to the dogs for too long.
I know Nader doesn't have the support to win, but if I can't vote for him or Ron Paul, I'll stay home.

the national highway traffic safety administration was tasked to perform comparition tests vs. equal cars back in the early 70's and found the corvair had no such rear stability / roll over problems.
