Rock Store Moto Exotica

Rock Store Moto Exotica
Just thought I would share some the crazy exotica I have seen at the Rock Store in last few weeks...
Confederate Wraith (not enough billet and CF on this bike...lol) Notice the fuel tank under the engine. Now thats low CG mass centralization.
Bimota Tesi - Forks? We don't need no stinking vertical telescopic plungers.
Leno's Y2K Jet bike. Kind of anemic power at only 425 ft-lbs of torque and 0-200 MPH in under 15 seconds
This thing sounds super freaky when started and winding up for lift off. Listen to it here if you haven't ever heard it...

I had an old Cycle News from the 1980's in my auto classroom with an article about the NR750. It was basically a V8 with adjacent cylinders opened up to form a V4 with the oval pistons. 8 valves per cylinder, 35mm stroke, and so much internal friction that Honda had to develop a slipper clutch to keep the rear wheel from locking up when the throttle was released. Quite an engineering feat.

I wonder if the NR was stroked? How else could you bump displacement? Another thing... how did Honda hone the cylinders?!?
I need to go to the rock store more often! I usually stay away from Malibu for fear of cops, which I suppose is what they want.
