Yeah picking just one would be tough but if I had to it would be my Winchester model 70 in 30-06 as you can do just about anything with it and it reach out and touch you at 1k meters with no real problems

As for hand guns well yeah I'm a 1911 guy but mine are old school Colts

Can't go wrong with a good old Colt. In my personal experience Springfields and Kimbers are at least the equal of Colts. Got no experience with S&W 1911s but suspect they're just as good.

My top three "bug out" rifles would be:

1) Springfield Armory M1-A

2) FN-FAL

3) H&K 91

But if you added an old Leupold 4X to that Win 70, I'd be fine and get whatever else i wanted/needed in short order.

Right now I'm trying out a Super Sniper SS10X42 on it. A great piece of glass for the money

I've got a Tasco SS 10X on my 300 Win Mag. Savage 110FP. I don't think you can get a better scope for twice the $.

Hopefully Tyler will have his "running on 1 cylinder" issue figured out by then.

I got popped on Wednesday by the county for expired plates. ****! That was the form that was on my desk for a while - I thought it was one of the trailers! ****! The young Deputy was quite cool about the whole thing and issued a warning. If Chas rides with us he will have to cool his ****. I did a hundred on the VTR today - I was more than half way to you. Sunday is supposed to be perfect. Whatever yall decide. Sounds like Randy is ready. Chas and I are going hard on his Chev pickup - just have to see how it all shakes out.

Im dropping by the auto hobby shop to work out my gremlin... Im going to take away his tools, and make him walk to school. Im tired of the gremlin's antics... they need to stop.

I tried again while it was "dry"... but still same problem. **Got me thinking... a one cylinder hawk saves gas! ah well.

The wife decided she wants to go on this ride... so be nice boys. Doug, that means don't play cat and mouse with me. If anyone has a FEMALE riding jacket we could borrow for the day that would be superb.

I won't drop the cash for her to get one, she hardly ever rides with me. I still don't know why I bought her a helmet???

You'd think that a helmet that hardly ever gets used would look nice and new... well... NO. Somehow this thing looks like it went into the future, experienced a nuclear wwIII, and returned to tell its tale.

Go figure.

** In my wifes defense... it wasnt her who made the helmet look like it does now... it was actually another girl who didnt take very good care of it while i was being a cager.

Good for you, but the first thing that comes to mind is: can you still fit into your old work clothes after spending a year on the couch?
