My favorite part:
"The citizens received the valiant Iraqi army forces with overwhelming joy as the soldiers were waving to them with the V for victory sign," the ministry said in a statement.
The head of a Sunni insurgent group that has turned against Al Qaeda and is cooperating with U.S. and Iraqi forces in the area said his fighters were participating in the operations and had succeeded in clearing several neighborhoods in eastern and western Baqouba.
The militant leader, who declined to be identified for fear of retribution, spoke as his fighters linked arms, chanted and danced while women ululated in celebration. An Associated Press reporter also saw residents in the Mustafa area in western Baqouba serving food to fighters who had battled al-Qaida and starting to repair their stores.

We've technically got a lot of lakes up here... all in a chain. Buchanan, Travis, Austin, Town Lake, and I think a couple others.... I pretty much stick to Travis and Austin though.
You can swim across it as long as you don't mind the prop damage in the effort. This is a ******* bath tub full of yuppies with big boats with big payments. On the weekend they just raft together and jump from boat to boat. Imagine. Socially responsible adults that all earn above 100k per year - tied together with dock lines and anchors.
Fortunately they tend to tie together in one of the coves off to the side. Referred to as "Devil's Cove" for more than one reason. But yes, lots of people tend to gather there for social activities involving minimal if any clothes and lots of money tied up in boats and boating accessories (see also: women)

Sounds like party cove at Lake of the Ozarks (look it up, they even have a series Girls Gone Wild style videos). At party cove you will see a 40' power boat tied up to a pontoon or even a bass boat. Its a great way to spend a hot summer day with some very nice people. They even have corporate sponsors and concerts put on by Anheuser Busch, Bacardi and others. Unfortunately a couple people have gotten so drunk this year that they forgot how to swim (read drowned). Not smart.
