Actually, I have a cousin that bought one for $25,000 in the early 80's. It was in decent shape and he still flys it today. Now it's worth about 2 million. What a return on your investment!
Just damn. At $25k each, I'd mortgage the house and buy 8 or 10 of them. I'd even be willing to pay 1200 per plane to register the 6 .50 cal Brownings. I'd keep a couple for myself, sell the rest and live high for the rest of my life.

Forgot to mention, I got to ride with him once. About 30 minutes into the ride I was pleading with him to stop and let me out. He is a retired Colonel from the Air Force who was a fighter jock his whole career. Needless to say, he put the aircraft through some extreme maneuver's that took me two days to quit feeling dizzy and sick to my stomach. Looking back now, it was all good!
