I spent most my evening working in the garage... was kind of nice actually.

 

Removed my old tank protector and installed a new carbon fiber look one.... the old one was faded and looked like poo

 

I also removed my license plate from it's current illegal location and played around with some ideas of how and where to mount it legally.

I think I got it figured out where. I also found my stock license plate light wire, so that'll be useful to tap into to light up the plate when I get my LED stuff in.

 

then I measured the garage and designed the layout of the shelves and workbench I'm going to be building....

 

A quick trip to Home Depot and I've got the hooks to hang my motorcycle ramp too.

 

Next up is painting the walls before I cover them with shelves... should get to painting this weekend.

 

Oh, yea... I moved into a new house in June, so I've got a lot of stuff to do yet... particularly in the garage.

15 degrees this AM....

 

15 degrees in N.C. must be global war... I mean climate change.

Many moons ago when I lived in Md. I rode 45 minutes to work, before dawn, on a "naked" bike, with an open face helmet when it was 15 degrees. I needed 20 minutes and 4 cups of hot coffee before my jaw thawed out enough to speak understandable English.

 

I've rode 30 minutes to work in 18 degrees but will not be doing it when gas is at $1.93.......

 

Yeah. When I took my 45 minute/15 degree ride gas was about sixty cents per gallon. The next day, I took the truck. If gas had been $5 per gallon, I still would have taken the truck.

These days if it's under about 45 degrees, I take truck.

 

Hit $1.98 this morning, I rode by and the girl was changing the sign...People are freaking out because the markets and gas are dropping...They should have never gone out of whack to begin with!! People are people, and for that I watch them very closely!! LOL
