I got my rear for $150 local.. but after tax and mounting I spent a deal more than you... Front is a little less expensive local, too...

Dayton is squatted equidistant between knoxville and chattanooga; not much in the way of local bike shops - mostly hayseeds looking to get the odd hardly or dirt digger stuff. Thus I look for the free shipping deals. Did you go with this exact combo? I was looking for more front end confidence and little more equal wear. My riding style eats up the rear - I saw a significant amount of wear the long ride I took last weekend ~ 235 miles. 'Twas rather "spirited" riding though...

I'm slabbing it to Atlanta for the weekend (stay away rain) so the oem dunflop d204 gets to stay on a little longer. The conti road attack grips good, but the power pulses make it lighter everytime I go out, lol!

No, in fact I didnt buy the same tires.. I got the Pilot Powers front and rear. Not the 2CTs though... Sorry, I wasnt payin too much attention.. I read "Michelin" blah blah.. my A.D.D. kicked in and I opened my trap before I thought.. lol..

WTF is that pic in your sig? You up on a Cell tower or an electrical tower?

Man, I hear you on the rain.. I bought a boat this spring, and between work, trips, and rain.. I have had it out once this year... got the itch bad...

I stacked tower for 7 years a while back

Cell, that was an interesting one. The pic is full size here:

http://gallery.audioasylum.com//cgi/...=tower_man.jpg

I'm at 200ft. waiting for the last 100' to come up in one pick. We could build to 900', work on 2000'. I preferred to stack steel, but could layout the site, dig the hole, tie the rebar, set the bolts, pour the concrete, stack the steel, run the lines and antennas, do the civil work, set the building, run the power and grounding, install the radios, and sweep the lines. I tore up my back and got out; but I miss the work and compensation.

The jerks I worked for last ( they fired me for insubordination, I wouldn't work unsafely (fast) enough for them) are near you: KCI Tower Systems, a small part of KCI engineering. I ran the stacking crew. We had uncivil and (doing) lines and antennas crew as well out of Charlotte NC. AFAIK there is only a small inspection crew there anymore. Prolly still some contingent in Hillsborough.

lol.. I almost follow all that.. We worked on the towers in this area last summer or the one before that... well, we worked AT the tower sites... no climbing... I've been up to 200' @ a power house.. neve been any higher.. that was far enough.. lol.. I could feel the structure moving, that was an ODD feeling..

I cant imagine being 2000' up on a tower.. guess you'd take your lunch up the first trip with you, huh? And better not forget any tools.. lol..

I ran stacking crew for 2 500's: one guyed, one self-supporter. Beefed up and changed out guy wires on 900'. Did numerous lines and antennas on 2000'. Big ones don't move much, if at all. Small ones do. Wind can be a problem: removed 25000# back-up antenna from 1200' in 50 mph wind. HDTV prep. Was on time/money driven sched. Ended up 50' from tower in gust on the way down. Was interesting to see how close we came to bumping when gust slacked off. Needed to have a certain type of constitution, or plenty of underwear. 32 minutes on elevator to top of 2K's. We generally came down for lunch; worked sunup to sundown on the tower, was ready for a break by then.

John was a salesman's delight when it came to any kind of unusual gimmick. His wife Marsha had long ago given up trying to get him to change.

One day, John came home with another one of his unusual purchases. It was a robot that John claimed was actually a lie detector.

It was just about 5:30 that afternoon when Tommy, their 11 year old son, returned home from school. Tommy was over 2 hours late.

"Where have you been? Why are you over 2 hours late getting home?", they asked.

"Several of us went to the library to work on an extra credit project" said Tommy.

The Robot then walked around the table and slapped Tommy, knocking him completely out of his chair.

"Son, this robot is a lie detector, now tell us where you went after school."

"We went to Bobby's house and watched a movie."

"What did you watch?" asked Marsha.

"The Ten Commandments." answered Tommy. The Rob ot went around to Tommy and once again slapped him, knocking him off his chair.

With lip quivering, Tommy got up, sat down and said, "I am sorry I lied. We really watched a tape called Sex Queen."

"I'm ashamed of you Son," said John. "When I was your age, I never lied to my parents."

The robot then walked around to John and delivered a roundhouse right that nearly knocked him out of his chair.

Marsha was bent double laughing, almost in tears. "Boy, did you ever ask for that one! And you can't be too mad with Tommy. After all, he is your son!"

The Robot immediately walked around to Marsha, and slapped her three times.
