it is freaking cold out!!!! frost on the ground...that makes for a lovely day!! NOT!! I am off and want to ride...oh well, hopefully it will warm up a little by noon, or there shortly after...

Hey Ghop, how does your kid like that KX? How old? I am thinking about picking up a KLR250 for my son, he won't be able to ride it on the street with my until he has his lic, but he can play in the dirt with it until then....
Is the KX a dual? or just dirt?

He loves it. He needs something bigger now though. He is 9 and 90 lbs. We have a track behind my house and he bottoms out the suspension every now and then. It is just off-road legal.

Having been around dirt bikes my whole life. I have found Honda's to be more user friendly engineered when doing maintenance. Kawasaki is not as bad as Yamaha but IMO you cannot beat a Honda.

I want the dual so we can ride together and do some off road stuff as well,...The KLR250 seems to be the bike that will do this well...for him...
