Pulled this aftermarket R/R from a CBR1100XX we parted out, but I have no idea who the manufacturer is. Anybody here know?

 

Looks like a unit made by "SUN" in Japan.

 

Does it look like the gold color is sprayed on or something else? Gradual decay of AL metals in the South would lead it to cooling less and less. The last one that I sold was cast AL all the way up through the fins. This one looks like it's been coated or painted. Put it on your bike and run it through an AZ summer. If it lasts, sell it.
