Looks cool so far. Like the red powerplant idea. Me, I just can't get past the side mounted radiators on the streetfighter VTRs, but beauty's in the eye...

Re: My soon to be SHawk Fighter

Yeah I was considering using a TL1000S radiator but have'nt really decided yet, I still kindof like the rads on the hawk, like you said beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Yeah, your mock-up looks cool w/o the rads to me. Wonder if there are any radiator alternatives out there.

Re: My soon to be SHawk Fighter

Well with the lack of clearance between the forks and engine I'm not sure if a front mounted rad will work and with the amount of riding I normally do in heat of summer I won't try to hide it under the tail so I may just polish them or powder coat them black as the frame will be powder coated black soon, and cover the hoses with the dress up braided stainless to pretty it up.

Sounds good. Looks like quite a bit of work still to go. Hope you've got something else to ride now that the good weather's here.

Re: My soon to be SHawk Fighter

I used cbr929 forks and rim with rotors and 954 triple, the brakes are GSXR1000 donors calipers and master cylinder.

Streetfighters aren't necessarily my thing, but I can't wait to see your finished project (and the pics along the way). I do love to see the inginuity that goes into the custom streetfighters, though. Good luck with the project, and I'm sure yours will be innovative!
