Hey All, Just found the forum. I work at a motorcycle shop on the west coast of canada, mainly doing the parts thing. Anyways, recently I decided it was time to move up from my starter bike of two years ('93 Honda 600 F2)

Well, as chance has it we had a plastics damadged '98 VTR1000 come into the shop for repair and then consignment sale. Lucky again I found out that my girlfriend is interested in moving up from her '84 RZ350 and buying my bike. So it looks like I'll soon be riding with the VTR crowd.

I took the 'storm out for a test ride after work one day and couldnt stop laughing (this bike is serious fun.) I came back to the shop where my boss was just closing up, he asked how I liked it and all I could do was giggle like a school girl for about 10 min's.

All in all I am sold on the VTR. It has Remus pipes and new CCT's with only 30,000KM on it. I'm stoked, The bike almost wheelies by itself, now I just have to come up with a unique color scheme and i'll be set..

yeah, I was impresed tooo after spending 2 years on 80's sportsbikes and muscle bikes. Welcome to the club. If you want to keep the front wheel down, shift more of your weight to the front under acceleration, drop the forks or raise the rear (both really easy to do).
