SO I have a thing about small cars that go fast and handle. The long story short is that I had an 84 Mustang GT-350 that ran a 13.98 @98 the first time I took it to the track. Rather than cut up a numbers matching anniversary edition, I sold it and began to work on a rolling chassis and 5.0 By the time I would have got the rear suspension I could have put the 5.0 in a MIata. I sold the chassis and engine and started planning for the swap. Then my nephew got me into using an LS to keep it light. I picked up the kit to install an LS-1 and 6 speed and started to wrench. I have been working on this one for almost two years now. Not that the work is hard but the cost makes progress slow. Right now I have an 04 GTO Ls that is being rebuilt, the front suspension is under the car and I modded the kit to fit the 8.8 IRS from a Mustang Cobra under the back. The subframe is reinforced and the roll bar and door bars are in. I got CV shafts made and fit up as well as the 11" front rotors and wilwood calipers and 10.75" rear rotors mounted. I had a Griffin 3" radiator built and it fits nice. The best thing is that other than the custom painted hood, the car looks stock.
