AR-15 = Civilian version of M-16, minus the evercharming "burst" feature. Neither version is fully automatic.

The "CAR-15" is/was full auto. Used 'em in Afghanistan. Not much use for it myself, semi auto does everything I need.

I've never been a fan of the carbines. Full auto is virtually useless for individual/small-arms weapons.

That is correct, I didn't care much for full on...unless it's time to spray and pray...then I'll grab an AK

Sweeeeeet. And the best thing would be to carry that thing strapped on your back as you ride your bike to the range.

One of my favorite quotes -

“The handgun is what you use to fight your way back to the rifle you shouldn't have left behind" – Clint Smith, Thunder Ranch

Enjoy!

Nice...makes me miss my Daewoo. How are those for those of us that are left handed? I had an SKS, it tended to bounce shells off my arm. The Daewoo was always good, but sold when I was a college student that needed money more than home defence.

No, even tho' it's posted in the correct forum for this site, gun websites are a MUCH BETTER place for you to post this AND you'll get much better feedback.

Hey thanks for that positive feedback, I have posted it on AR15.com a great forum, but I thought, you know, there are a lot of folks on here that enjoy shooting, and guns etc...that perhaps they would like to see pics etc...

So far, the feedback has been great, so not sure what you mean by "much better feedback" and as a moderator myself, I certainly hope I know where to post! LOL...

Again, thanks for taking the time to stop by and add your two cents worth!

Thanks.. now I got something ELSE to put on my want list.. as if I needed another thing to add...

Scary...I'm in TWO forums with Randy...

I have shot the Full-Auto version and have no use for it (never been in the military, so those that have served or are serving may differ on that one). Randy, I hope that you have a reloader because ammo prices for most people are high these days. I acquired a Bushmaster a few months ago, but have not had time to take it out, or load rounds for it. Skeet has kept me off of the pistol and rifle ranges lately.

Ha! My son and I just started shooting skeet a few months ago, and we're hooked...LOL..

I know, I need to start buying componets to reload the .223 as I have watched prices jump considerably since Nov last year...I picked up some ammo from GA Arms at this show, I like there handgun loads as well, and they have pretty good prices...

What's your user name over there? I have only posted a few times on that board...tons of useful info though...way more than I even have time to read..

How do you like that Bush? I almost bought one complete a couple of months ago, but decided to go the build route, I put this one together for about $570 minus the carry handle and grips....It's the 16' Heavy barrel 1x9..

I'd take pictures of all my guns and post them here, but I don't want the gun confiscators to know my whole inventory.

I picked up a 2nd lower at the show for a future build...I was thinking 7.62 as it is still cheaper to shoot at this time...of course the price of ammo is going up across the boards...

My father is a Detective and on the SWAT team, they purge every 2 years or so, so He gets plenty of "old" ammo.

Has anyone tried to make a mount for their shawk for one of these? I was thinking I could attach it to the triples and only put a vertical swivel on it. That way you could just shoot whatever was in front of you. Should I use aluminum for this mounting system? Do you think I should get the aluminum anodized? Or should I use Stainless Steal? Any inputs would be appreciated.
