Hailwood at Mallory Park

Here's a wonderful video of Mike Hailwood showing that even after retirement he was championship caliber.

Great stuff, I've always been a Hailwood fan however an Ago fan even more. The Mallory video is great because it clearly shows the man didn't hang off!

I was fortunate enough to see Hailwood along with Agostini, Duff, Ivy, Bryans and Read at Mosport in October, 1967. One of the most beautiful and terrifying moments of the race was seeing Hailwood lean the Honda 6 over so far on the approach to corner four that the exhausts were parallel to the pavement. The absolute lap record for motorcycles he set on the 250 lasted for years.

For me Hailwood has always been the GOAT.

This race and the TT before it is what sealed the deal for me.
How many guys could take 11 yrs. off from bike racing and turn in a performance like that.

That pass on the brakes for the lead was classic Hailwood....
